8 racers showed up for some fun on Wednesday night. Was a fun night of racing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and good to just enjoy an evening. Justin broke in his new car Valvoline #10 Pontiac, and Dwayne and George and Derek had new cars also. Dwayne was in a sidewinder Tide #32, and George was running a #14 Pontiac. Derek had a #32 sidewinder Taurus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Derek was super fast in his Tide 32 \u201csidewinder\u201d Taurus he was clocking off<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speeds so fast that the minimum lap time had to be set to 1.5 seconds. Previous<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fast times were close to 2.10 so fastest possible lap had been set to 2.0 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that some of his laps were not counting during the heat races and that was<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the fact that he was going so fast that the timer was not picking him up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony raced the McDonalds #94 Taurus. Bobby rejoined us racing after many years off<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And had a great night, and with all those years off, still was a tough competitor. He still being a Rusty Wallace fan was in the #2 Miller car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also missed a good friend Rick, who couldn\u2019t make it, and is always a tough competitor in his #43 STP Pontiac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mark is taking a hiatus from racing with us on Wednesdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We ran 25 lap segment heats in round robin format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Top four finishers from the heats were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 JP<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Bobby<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Mike<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. George<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I (Mike Sr.) gave up my feature position and placed names in a hat and the winner was<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dwayne. So he went on to the feature. George forfeited his feature position to his son Derek. The feature was a tight race throughout and had some good racing in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The feature was setup for 50 lap segments and round robin format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 3rd heat ended a tie with Bobby and JP in dead heat at the finish. Derek was in<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tide #32 and was so fast Derek was all over the track, and including the floor on a couple of occasions. If he could have kept it in the slot he would have surely dominated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The feature win went to Bobby in the #2 Miller Taurus, proving he is still a tough competitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rain came down hard, but was nice and dry on the inside!<\/p>\n\n\n\n George and Derek broke some more cars in. Justin dialed in his car and has it handling<\/p>\n\n\n\n Much better since box stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n George will be hosting racing at his place Saturday 9\/11\/04 about 6pm.
